HomeworkMatters (HM) is a web service that provides an elegant and simple solution that helps answer the question: "So, what's the homework today?"

The Service:

• Homework can be posted with just a browser and internet connection in minutes.

• All data management online is secure and accessed by you, the teacher, via a username and password.
• Here's a demo account to actually try out the system:

• A Teacher Account is the basic building block of HM. The low cost yet high value of an account allows a single teacher to get his/her own site without waiting around for one's institution to make and implement a school wide technology.
  
  Of course, a whole school can take advantage of the HM system as well. A School Account is a group of Teacher Accounts that are linked together and, optionally, can be accessed by designated administrator(s): the principal, a secretary, an IT manager - whomever is best suited in your context. No central maintenance is necessary, but the ability to exercise direct oversight is readily available.
• Your data can be archived, exported, and each entry can also be marked "Public" or not (non-public entries can be used to record 'work in progress' or 'note-to-self' types of information).
• Students and parents view a HomeworkMatters page at (using the example of Ms. Jane Doe's "jdoe" account:  http://hmatters.com/jdoe ).
• HomeworkMatters employs a flexible structure – well-suited for strictly cataloging homework assignments, but can be used as an online database that holds a variety of information.
• New Feature!  Files can also be attached to your site for download (e.g. supplimentary assignment resources, math problem solutions, permission forms). Also, you can enable uploading on any entry (page) on your site so students can securely submit files (e.g. assignments, essays, take-home exams) by uploading them to a protected area which only you, the teacher, can access.
  
  You have the added benefit of being able to retrieve all attached files by downloading your files individually or all at once contained within an automatically-generated zip file.
